After being closed since March 23, we’re now open for takeout and offer pints (500ml) of our farm-to-cone gelato and vegan sorbetto for a special price of $12.50 plus GST. (Minimum 4 pint order, mix or match any of our flavours). For those that want a sweet and healthy pick me up while they Shelter in Place, we’ve just started an online shop at www.unogelato.com/shop and will deliver for free (in most of the GVRD). Or if in our neighbourhood, customers may stop by our Kitsilano shop (Monday to Wednesday 11 am to 3 pm).
“After temporarily shutting down due to the COVID-19 crisis, we had incredible interest from our friends and extended families to enjoy a little Uno Gelato indulgence while they’re stuck at home. In the last two weeks we delivered 1,108 pints and we’re thrilled to bring our passionate team back to work,” said Mike Raffan, Managing Partner, Uno Gelato. “We’ve now expanded this to online ordering for the public and our two Maestros Andrés and Caner are making the gelato and sorbetto daily, with our Operations Manager Paddy delivering the pints personally. We’re so pleasantly overwhelmed by this community support and are hoping that we can bring on more staff.“
We are currently offering 9 of our popular mainstays, for Gelato: Lavazza Espresso, Mint Chocolate Chip, New Fashioned Chocolate, Salted Caramel, and Tahitian Vanilla. For Sorbetto: Mango Tango, Midnight Chocolate, Passion Fruit, and Yuzu Lemon.
Plus April’s Feature Flavour: Akbar Mashti – A beloved Persian classic with fragrant saffron, rosewater, and rich pieces of Devonshire style cream from Iran along with crunchy roasted pistachios from California. This Persian delight is blended with wholesome B.C. cream and organic milk from Avalon Dairy in the Fraser Valley along with B.C. birch syrup by Sweet Tree Ventures in Quesnel and a pinch of organic cane sugar for added sweetness. A NOTE ABOUT OUR DELIVERY POLICY… We make our products fresh in small batches, thus orders placed by end of day Monday will be delivered that same week. Orders made on Tuesdays or afterwards will be delivered the following week. Our delivery days: Tuesday – Delta, Richmond, Tsawwassen; Wednesday – Vancouver; Thursday – Burnaby, Delta, New Westminster, North Delta, and Surrey; and Friday – Coquitlam, North Shore, Port Moody
As a B.C. owned and operated company, we care about our customers and staff and out of an abundance of caution during the COVID-19 crisis, we are unfortunately not currently offering samplings or scoops by the cone/cup.
