Enjoy a dram (or should we say scoop) of our limited edition Chocolate Scotch gelato. Crafted with B.C. Single Malt Whisky by Central City Distillers in the Fraser Valley, Dutch Cocoa, 85% French Dark Chocolate by Michel Cluizel, and Avalon Dairy organic milk and cream, we cannot imagine a more delectable blend of fine ingredients. A bonnie pairing indeed!
Our Blood Orange sorbetto is inspired by the Arancia Rossa di Sicily (Sicilian Red Orange). This exotic sorbetto is a sweetly tart version that’s bursting with flavours of ripe orange with hints of cranberry and raspberry. A gorgeous crimson colour, the Sicilians prize their Blood Oranges as “l’oro rosso,” Red Gold indeed! Some fun facts, In Sicily, Blood Oranges are typically at peak ripeness in February. So highly valued by locals, the fruit is considered l’oro rosso or the “red gold” of Sicily. Near Mt. Etna in the province of Catania, a Sagra dell’arancia rossa (Blood Orange Festival) is held the last week of February, where throughout the charming region you can indulge in local gastronomic citrus themed dishes.
