A Buon Natale with Marzapane!

Buon Natale, amici! This holiday season, I’m thrilled to share our newest creation: Marzipan with Caramel Crumble gelato. Inspired by the rich history of marzapane, the beloved almond paste that first originated in 12th-century Palermo, Sicily, this flavour combines tradition and artistry to bring a touch of Italian heritage to your festivities.

We start with creamy milk and fresh cream from Avalon Dairy here in the Fraser Valley, blended with marzipan made from almonds, organic cane sugar, and a hint of orange blossom. To give it a sweet crunch, I’ve swirled in caramel crumble—a blend of caramel biscuit and cocoa. The festive result is velvety, smooth, and nutty.

Like all our gelatos, Marzipan with Caramel Crumble is handcrafted in small batches right here in Kitsilano. It’s my way of sharing a little artisan, Italian holiday magic with you.
